Defence in court.

We defend the interests of individuals and corporate clients throughout the country before all courts ruling on the merits and the Supreme Court, covering every type of offence. We cover criminal proceedings, with particular experience in corporate criminal law. We act in numerous trials for the liability of entities “ex crimine” within the meaning of Legislative Decree 231/2001.

Legal advice.

We provide advice, where appropriate on an ongoing basis, to entrepreneurs and to major Italian and foreign Groups, in the framework of every aspect of criminal law legislation. We identify and avert crime-risks and we also prepare and update the “Compliance Programs” contemplated by Legislative Decree 231/2001, organising the internal system adopted by companies to ensure safety at work and protect the environment.

International activity.

For over 35 years we have been a flagship for excellence in defending Italians abroad, and foreigners in Italy, who are involved in criminal matters. We assist individuals and foreign governments in large numbers of extradition and European arrest warrant procedures. We provide defence services, on a continuous basis, before the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.

The Law Firm

The Firm was founded in 1981 by Attorney Michele Gentiloni Silveri. Since then it has operated continuously and exclusively in the field of criminal law to become one of the most prestigious players at the national level. It is formed by professionals who are highly specialised and updated in criminal matters, which they work on both in legal practice and also at the academic level as authors of publications or speakers at study seminars.

The Firm operates from its offices in Rome and Paris, where it serves national and international clients both in and out of court, providing legal advice. Defence in criminal matters

Defending individuals and collective entities in court is the traditional activity of the Firm. Our team has gained experience in thousands of criminal trials held at Courts ruling on the merits throughout the country and also at the Supreme Court, covering the entire panorama of the criminal law system.

Legal advice and crime-averting compliance programmes

As well as acting as defence counsel in proceedings, the Firm also operates in the field of legal advice to persons and collective entities, above all in matters of corporate criminal law.

International activity

We assist foreigners involved in criminal proceedings in Italy, as indeed Italians citizens abroad, coordinating defence pleadings with the support of local professionals and the Italian diplomatic and consular network, and we also participate personally in hearings held before foreign courts.
